All Weapons Tier List — Damage Values, Drop Sources & the Best Weapon

Every melee and ranged weapon in Dino Kid, ranked S+ to C, with the damage numbers that are actually documented and the exact chest each one comes from. No guesswork on what beats what.

Weapons come almost entirely from chests — knowing which chest holds what is half the game

Four things to know before you loot

  • Chests are the source. Almost every good weapon is chest-locked — Gold, Ruby, Iron, Ice, Alien, Obsidiron and Infernal Chests each hold a different pool. Learning the chest tiers matters more than learning the weapons.
  • You keep your weapons through a revive. Dying once does not cost you your loadout, so always carry one melee and one ranged option.
  • Reach beats raw damage early. A Spear outperforms a better-damage axe against wolves simply because you get hit less.
  • Some weapons are class starters. If chest luck keeps failing you, buying the right class is a guaranteed route to an S-tier weapon.

Weapons tier list (S+ to C)

Ranked on damage, special effects, swing or reload speed, and how obtainable each weapon actually is. Event-only items are listed where they belong on power, but you should plan around the farmable ones.

S+

Admin Axe, Admin Gun, Friendly Gun, Cultist King Mace, Poison Spear, Laser Cannon, Morningstar, Tactical Shotgun, Infernal Crossbow, Infernal Sword, Obsidiron Hammer, Bouncing Blade, Vampire Scythe, Candy Turret

Kill-anything tier. Several are event-locked, so treat the farmable ones — Morningstar, Tactical Shotgun, Obsidiron Hammer — as your realistic ceiling.

S

Strong Axe, Cold Axe, Laser Sword, Ice Sword, Raygun, Flamethrower, Blowpipe, Wildfire, Crossbow, Brutal Battleaxe, Poison Claws

Excellent with one caveat each: the Raygun needs to recharge, the Flamethrower burns fuel, the Brutal Battleaxe swings slowly.

A

Chainsaw, Revolver, Rifle, Kunai, Ice Shuriken, Trident, Air Rifle

Your early and mid-game workhorses. A Revolver on Day 1 and a Rifle by Day 5 will carry you a long way.

B

Good Axe, Spear

Perfectly fine until something better drops. The Spear’s reach makes it safer than any axe against wolves.

C

Old Axe, Snowball

The Old Axe is your free starter and takes 13 hits to fell a tree. Replace it the moment a chest gives you anything else.

Documented damage values

These are the weapons with damage figures that are actually published rather than eyeballed. Most other weapons are ranked on observed performance only — treat any number you see quoted elsewhere without a source with suspicion.

Useful benchmarks: a Wolf has about 75 HP and a Bear about 350 HP. That makes the Rifle a one-shot on wolves and a four-to-six-shot on bears — the cleanest way to judge whether a new weapon is actually an upgrade.

Best weapon for each situation

Day 1–4 · staying alive

Grab a Spear over any axe — the extra reach means a wolf cannot trade hits with you. A Revolver from a Common or Good Chest is the single biggest early power spike. A Wolf has 75 HP, so one clean Rifle shot or a few Revolver rounds ends the fight.

Cultist Stronghold raids

The Ruby Chest inside the Stronghold holds the Tactical Shotgun, which is why clearing it every run is worth the risk. Bring the Morningstar as backup — its explosion bar is built for packed cultist groups.

Bears and big animals

A Bear has around 350 HP. That is four to six Rifle shots, or roughly three Laser Cannon hits. Do not melee one without an S-tier weapon and an escape route.

Snow Biome runs

Ice Chests give the Ice Sword — the best melee available in the snow, with a chill slow that buys you distance from Polar Bears and Mammoths. Pick up the Ice Axe in the same run for chopping.

Alien events and the Mothership

The Laser Cannon’s area damage makes it the single best weapon against the Mothership. The Cyborg class starts with one, so if you have the Diamonds it is available immediately — no chest luck required.

Long 99-night runs

Sustain beats burst. The Vampire Scythe heals you on every hit, and the Infernal Crossbow and Infernal Sword have unlimited ammo or auto-cook your kills into food — they solve two survival problems with one slot.

Weapons you can buy instead of farm

Several classes hand you a weapon at spawn. If chest RNG is not going your way, Diamonds are the reliable route to good gear:

  • Cyborg — Laser Cannon. The strongest starter weapon in the game and the reason Cyborg is a 600-Diamond class.
  • Ranger — Rifle plus 18 ammo, and a 10% ammo refund per shot at Level 2.
  • Assassin — Katana, the fastest melee swing in the game. Highest melee DPS if you can stay in range.
  • Pyromaniac — Flamethrower. Class-exclusive; it runs on Fuel Canisters instead of ammo.
  • Poison Master — Blowpipe. Modest damage, but the poison scales hard once the class is fully levelled.
  • Lumberjack — Good Axe. A tool first, but it beats the Old Axe as a weapon too.

Where the guides disagree

We would rather show you the conflict than pick a side. Four details are not settled across sources:

  • !Tactical Shotgun capacity — reported as a 3-shell magazine by some guides and a 4-round capacity by others. Its per-shot damage is not documented anywhere, despite it being widely called the best gun in the game.
  • !Rifle reload — one source lists 6 rounds per reload, another lists a 1-round capacity. The 60–90 damage figure is consistent either way.
  • !Morningstar ranking — described as the second-best melee weapon by some guides and the third-best by others, depending on whether the Cultist King Mace is counted as farmable.
  • !Weapon sources — the Crossbow is attributed to Hot Chests in one guide and to general chest pools in another; the Tactical Shotgun is listed as both a Ruby Chest drop and a Workshop craft.

Tier placements cross-checked against Sportskeeda, BloxSpot and ClickThis. Damage values and drop sources from RBLXGuide, which cites the game wiki. Conflicting figures are listed above rather than averaged. Weapon stats can change with any update — last reviewed 2026-09-05.
